Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Spanish is newer at my school, and it would be amazing to receive some resources to help us build off of our first year. During the first year, grades 5-8 did an amazing job learning Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and culture. They took a completely new language face to face, and met the challenge in an exceptional manner. I cannot be prouder of my students and I am so excited to continue this journey with them. The whiteboards would be incredible for teaching phonetics in Spanish, as well as vocabulary and spelling. We are also looking forward to doing various projects regarding culture, so any materials would greatly help. The books will be great to introduce the younger grades to spanish, in hopes of one day expanding spanish throughout the whole school (Pre-k-8).
