New Shoes for ALL Kalamazoo RESA Head Start Students!

My Students

My students are Head Start students. They qualify for free preschool by meeting criteria with a majority being well below poverty. My students are three years old and this is their first school experience. They attend five days a week for 6.25 hours per day. Many of these students do not have much at home and so I do the best I can to provide them with new and fun experiences while they are at school. Looking forward to a great school year!

My Project

Each year I see parents struggling to provide new school shoes and supplies for their students. In the past, I have done projects to get shoes for my classroom, but this year I wanted to go bigger. I feel lead to help all students in our program who are in need.

Every child deserves a comfy pair of shoes to start school in regardless of their income level.

Providing these basic essentials to students will allow some ease of the burden for parents and excitement for the students. Each child will also receive a new pair of socks to go with their shoes. Thank you for your support! It takes a village.
