This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Through this project, I hope to fund two new and exciting novels for my classroom library and novel study. The two novels I am requesting is 'Esperanza Rising' and 'The Hunger Games'. In the past year, many of my students experienced reading their first full novel/chapter book and felt so accomplished when they finally finished.
By receiving multiple copies of each novel, each student will have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves into a new book and gain a love for reading.
My students are very curious and are able to make bright connections when reading and discussing new topics with their peers. I want to expose my students to different genres and characters. Especially to those they can relate and connect to.
