My Project

I am a Title One Kindergarten Teacher working in Detroit Michigan. The past years of the pandemic have been extremely difficult for students coming into kindergarten. Over the summer, I did a training on a new reading program called the Science Of Reading. I am excited to give my students a new way of learning to read and need new materials. I am in need of magnetic chips and wands to help my students to Hear it-Map it-Write it- (this gives students a hands-on way to hear and map the sounds) This new approach will help shrink the gap of learning in my classroom affected by the pandemic. I also need new calming items for my calming corner and think the sensory tubes will be a great addition.
