This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach at a title I high school in a community of low socioeconomic status. Many students come ready to learn, but unprepared with the materials they need for success.
Help me give my students school basics like pencils, pens, highlighters, folders, glue sticks, and more so that they may focus on their studies and less about what is or isn't in their backpacks.
I know that with the appropriate materials, my students will be able to tackle on any math problem I give them. Basic tools like pencils and glue sticks are used on a daily basis to complete math activities. I like to keep our classroom a safe and comfortable environment. I would like to provide disinfecting wipes and tissues to maintain healthy hygiene as well. I'm excited for a new academic year and would love to start strong with all the necessary materials.
