My Students
My students are from the South Side of Chicago. They understand the importance of having an education and how their success in high school influences their journey post-secondary education. They are also aware that they need the right tools to succeed beyond expectations. As their teacher, I want to be able to provide them a positive learning experience that will lead them to doing great things in life in the current moment and beyond high school.
My Project
After so much time out of the classroom, I know a welcoming environment with additional resources will be a great way to return to our "normal" way of learning.
I would love to welcome my students back to an updated and refreshing classroom (bulletin board paper).
I am a true believer that when classrooms are given a touch of love it shows and students appreciate that a warmth and loving environment was created for them.
Upon my students' return I would also love to have personal items (sanitary napkins) available for my female students. I have been fortunate to have a great relationship with my students. Due to our great relationships, my female students often seek me for help when they find that they need sanitary napkins to avoid an embarrassing moment.
