This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are curious about the world, beyond their neighborhood. They are enthusiastic about diving into math, but do not have the updated materials to go beyond a textbook.

In our urban Public Elementary school, my students need supplies to help build their toolbox!

As a teacher, even in the presence of the issues that manifest because of their needs, this raw curiosity is the most critical and beautiful element of their education. Their desire to question and probe into everything is what drives their learning process. That is what makes it exciting to teach!

My Project

The materials that I have asked for will be used by my students to help them organize their math work, assessments and tools. Students in my class will be able to get their own binders to set up and have the best math experience possible. My students need math binders and organizational tools to help them learn on their own terms. Having a binder will help them to keep all their tools and necessary notes in one place to help support their thinking anywhere they are. My students are hardworking and deserve to have the chance to show the world what they are made of.
