Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in a Title I school where opportunities are limited for the students and their families. All students need access to high-quality education, and many of my students face challenges on a daily basis. Any classroom needs many regular everyday items to run efficiently and in an organized manner. Many of my students don't come with the materials they need to be successful on a daily basis! Having the supplies and them readily available to the students is key.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement through easy access to daily materials when they are absent as well as where to turn in their assignments.

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! I am looking for ways to store student workbooks and other daily classroom supplies that are easy accessible for students.

Having a designated spot for them to turn in their work and get missing work when they are absent is something I have struggled with and I am trying to improve on in order to run my class more effectively. The supplies listed will help have a way to make it easier for them to access what they need for the day as they walk in to the classroom.
