Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Sitting still is so difficult to do especially when your in my classroom. My students are ready to come to school every day where we have an amazing STEM driven curriculum. Some of my students can't afford school supplies so DonorsChoose.org is a way to get supplies in their hands.
My students are 8-9 years old and as amazing, My school is a STEM driven school so science, math, reading, social studies are all integrated together to give my students more learning opportunities.
My students also will use the materials to keep germs away.
My Project
My students come from a very diverse society. They come from working class parents. The supplies we are requesting will help my students become better learners as well as facilitators. They will be able to use their young minds to get through my classroom's hands-on learning. These resources will be use for math, reading, science, social studies, and writing. Students will be using chalk to fill in our classroom anchor charts as well as design their models when doing classroom projects.
This project will make a difference because my students will have pencils and erasers to write with when completing tasks.
They will also have opportunities to keep germs away. My students will be using creativity for the chalk and glue sticks to connect the real world with what is being learning in the classroom.
