Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With your help, I would like the ability to purchase fun and interactive English Learning resources and activities for my newcomer students to complete in class and at home. My school currently doesn't have resources for my students who are newcomers to our country. My newcomer students struggle making connections in between the two languages because nothing is translated in our current school resources. These requested gift cards are to be exclusively used on a website called "Teachers Pay Teachers." On this website I am able to purchase teacher created translated (from english to spanish) booklets and vocabulary activities in both English and Spanish. I love the fact that these activities are made by teachers for teachers. I have been purchasing activities from this website for a couple of years and I can assure you that all of the activities are student approved! Students love the creativity that is brought to our classroom through these fun activities.
