Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our population includes English language learners, special needs students, newcomers, and refugees. We are a superfamily of all shapes, colors, sizes, cultures, and abilities!

As I am trying to address the needs of my diverse learners, I am looking to expand my teaching toolbox with some new ideas and materials.

I would love to get a membership subscription to a wonderful site, Speech Room Resources, where I can get access to a variety of motivating monthly thematic resources using high-interest topics, games, book companions, sensory bins, links to songs and suggested read alouds, and tutorials to help me spend more time teaching and less time searching. This membership would provide the opportunity to connect with other SLPs for ideas and inspiration. It will provide a baseline tool for where to start with my speech students and how to adapt resources to meet a variety of learning and social-emotional needs.
