This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are amazing! They're so curious and eager to learn. They're also bilingual learners and are learning to read in both English and Spanish.
I'm setting up a fun and cozy new reading corner in our room, including comfy seats, a shelf, and stuffed animals of our favorite characters to encourage students to want to practice reading.
With this new space, students are encouraged to read independently. Students will have comfy beanbag chairs to sit in, stuffed friends to read to, and a shelf full of books where they can easily grab a new book when they need it.
