My Students

The Canistota band students are becoming great musicians. They are working hard to perform music at our upcoming concerts this year. I work with a 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th band, and high school band.

I have 60 great students who are working their hardest to learn their instruments and perform with others.

Our students have the opportunity to play concert music, pep band music, and participate in marching band. The students in the Canistota band program are working together and are eager to learn.

My percussion students are eagerly learning new instruments and we need to be able to provide them with quality instruments that work correctly.

My Project

My percussionists start in 5th grade and begin to rapidly learn instruments. The students are continually learning more instruments even once they reach the high school level. We have some basic instruments in our percussion section, but we are lacking some of the additional instruments that are often used in percussion parts.

The students are gaining many skills this year and I would like to give them the opportunity to play as many instruments as possible.

With our concert bands reaching to play more challenging music we will need more percussion instruments to fulfill all that is asked for in the percussion parts.
