This classroom is filled with 25 bright first graders who are eager to learn. This is the first year that these students are spending the full day in the classroom, which is why it is very important that they feel safe and comfortable in the classroom.
Not only are these students so willing to learn, they are also kind.
They love reading and doing any hands-on activities , which include science projects or art of any kind. They are a loving bunch and appreciate anything they get.
My Project
I am a new teacher and although I have been able to collect a good amount of books, you will be helping me give my students a greater selection. These students have great imaginations and will thrive off of a new set of books. They get a chance to choose their books every week and they will be ecstatic to have new ones.
Everything on this list will help these students become stronger readers and better learners.
The clipboards, for example, will allow us to go outside and learn while getting fresh air and sunlight. It will also allow them to be mobile while writing. For example, if we are sitting on the carpet or walking around the room, they can still write things down.
Majority of these items will not only help the students in my classroom this year, but many years to come!
