Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Last year, as we transitioned back to school full time after COVID, I watched my students overcome so many different obstacles to have a successful year. By June, it was incredible to see the growth that they made not just as learners, but as young people who were truly experiencing middle school for the first time.
My incoming 7th graders just completed their first year in middle school, and they will definitely need support with organization for the upcoming school year.
With this project, every student will receive a notebook strictly for social studies. I will be able to show them how to keep an organized notebook, and provide them with the structure they need in order to be ready to learn day in and day out. The sanitizing wipes will help keep my desks clean and germ free, as I will have over 100 students entering my room daily.
