My Project
Librarian are supposed to maintain a nonfiction collection that are published within five years of current events. This is not possible in my library as the collection is so outdated, that there would little to no books on the shelves. I have weeded the books that are too old to ignore or are in such condition that students don't want to check them out.
My students deserve to have newer nonfiction titles and in a condition that provides the reader with dignity.
This project would focus on cats.
Slowly but surely I hope to rebuild the nonfiction section, one topic at a time. These newer books could attract students who might not have thought they wanted to read such topics.
