This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Who are my students? Great question because I haven't met them all yet, however, I can already tell you they are AWESOME! I am moving to a brand new, state of the art (almost!), globally diverse elementary school. My students will be from three elementary schools and will be made of approximately 500 students - of whom I will get to teach them all!!

My goal is to create a music program that is as state of the "art" as the new building!

My Project

My classroom will be part of a brand new elementary school, opening in just a few weeks! The school is beautiful....at least what I've seen from the outside! The inside is still under construction but the plans are amazing. In this project, I am requesting hand drums, multi-colored scarves, lummi sticks, a book of multicultural music and a few pieces of furniture for the music room.

My goal is to build a music program that will enhance the many educational opportunities my students will have.

Our students will have the opportunity to be part of the first dual language/global immersion academy in our district. We will be studying the foundations of making music as well as music from around the world! The building and walls of the music room are almost complete....now help me fill it with music making materials!
