New Media to Engage Students

My students need a DVD player, DVD recorder and cable for a better way to view documentaries and other video technology. In today's world, students are engaged by crystal clear images with sharp detail.

My Students

Students are no longer drawn to the old, static images that used to be the standard in the teaching world!

My students are thoughtful and intelligent.

They work hard and are eager to learn. Our school is one of moderate means, since the socio-economic status of our families also varies greatly. The community is a diverse one, both in terms of financial means and ethnic background.

My Project

I'm requesting a Blu-ray player and an HDMI cable, so that I can connect the device to a projector. Since students have become accustomed, in their non-academic world, to fast-paced images that are beautifully displayed, these items will help improve the quality of my audio/visual lessons. The classroom must now compete to hold students' attention. Additionally, I am requesting a VHS-DVD transfer recorder, so that old VHS tapes can be transferred to DVDs and used in the new Blu-Ray player.

The project is important because updating technology will help my audio/visual lessons remain relevant and engaging to students.

It will change the quality of the images so that detail is sharp and sound is clear.
