New Materials for Speech/Language Therapy

My Students

I am a speech-language pathologist in an urban district. I service pre-k to fourth grade students diagnosed with a variety of disorders, including receptive/expressive language, articulation, and pragmatic. Many of the students on my caseload are diagnosed with autism.

My Project

These materials will be used to help students improve their speech and language goals and get excited about learning. This year has been especially difficult navigating the disruptions and delayed social-emotional skills due to the current times.

These materials are hands-on and provide a multi-sensory approach to learning (i.e.

visuals, movement). Not only will these materials address their speech and language goals, but they will also address social-communication skills (i.e. turn-taking, requesting, conversation). Most importantly, the new materials will provide excitement and improve engagement in their sessions.
