This project will provide military kids living on a military base with a new set of Markers. All of the students at our school live far away from home while one of their parents serves in the military. Our school is Kindergarten through 6th grade and some of these students have lived on three different military bases in their short lives. Due to all this moving, they often don't have many social connections outside of the home.
Our students are used to living with one parent deployed for up to a year at a time.
I am used to this as well because I am a military wife, raising military kids, and my husband is about to depart on his 6th deployment. I love being a part of this community and serving military kids.
Help me give my students new markers for our art projects that we complete in the library. Most of the markers that I currently have in the library are old and drying up. My students would love new markers for their projects.
I try to let my students create something at the end of every library lesson, so these markers will be used daily.
I love having this time to be creative during the library. The students really enjoy these activities and they will be so excited. Thank you for helping me get these new markers and storage bins for my students.
