My Students
For most of my students Pre-k is their first experience being away from home, meeting fellow children their age, and starting school! These 4 and 5 year olds come from all walks of life within our community. They have an impressive amount of energy, love to laugh, be silly, make friends, and contribute ideas to their class. I have been teaching for 8 years and these students make my heart so full without them even knowing it! Although this year is very different due to Covid 19, I am still striving to keep our classroom materials as engaging as possible!
My Project
We have been gifted amazing new listening equipment for our Fall 2021-2022 school year. This includes a CD player and 4 sets of headphones! We are so excited for the children to be able to listen to music and books on CDS. Then we realized we need Books on CDs! The books in our project correspond with our Creative Curriculum and will give students a chance to be in control of an electronic: encouraging responsibility and sharing, while also exposing them to authors reading their favorite stories. The listening center is going to be an fantastic addition to our classroom and another area where literacy and reading will be encouraged!
