My Project

Our students need new library books to entice them to read more. I recently attended the Illinois Reading Council Conference for teachers and librarians. There I attended book talk sessions and learned about new books for my middle school students. I am requesting many of these new books for this project.

Our students love to check out new books from our school library.

I have a cart in the library where I feature and showcase new books. Our students gravitate to the cart with new books when coming to the library. Fiction books, nonfiction books, and graphic novels are on the cart. It's fun to talk with students and find out what their interests are. Then I can help match a book to their interests. Thank you for sharing your love of reading with our middle school students.
