Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
During the pandemic, the original carpets that we had in our classrooms were thrown out due to the risks of germs, social distancing, etc. The thought of not having a carpet in the classroom made me sad because that's where our students had most of their bonding time. This past school year I added a small carpet back into our room and allowed a few students at a time to go on to experience independent reading time in their library once again.
This upcoming school year I would like to bring back the full library experience for all of our students.
This new carpet will give us just that! It will be big enough for our class and give our classroom a beautiful touch!
