My Project
The New Leaders Inititative is a space for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders to learn about different life skills such as financial literacy, career opportunities, community involvement, and social emotional health. Our kids signed up for this rigorous and selective group to better themselves. They show up weekly to build their social skills, volunteer in the community, and explore future career paths. This group of scholars are dedicated to improving themselves and their community!
One way we want to serve our school community is through growing our own organic food, in a garden!
Our school exists in a food desert... a place in which it is difficult to find or afford quality healthy food.
We want to equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need to build up their families and community! Help us by supplying the greenhouse, soil, seeds, and potting supplies we need to grow organic vegtables and fruit for our scholars!
