My students need this carpet for a meeting area and communal space in my classroom. The easel will allow me to personalize and differentiate instruction with my students.
Kindergarten is an opportunity for students to expand their love of learning, build knowledge, develop their ability to get along with others and explore ways of reaching out to the world. I am excited about teaching kindergarten for the first time as I work with students of unique personalities who add character to our classroom community.
Their natural curiosity will be enriched by an abundance of books, words, letters, numbers, and other instructional aids.
My students bring the power of expression as they talk about their learning and experiences. Developing their self-esteem is vital as each of my students feel what they have to offer is important. All of my students love to talk and share.
My Project
This carpet will make a difference in my students learning because, with this carpet, I will have an area for meeting and engagement my classroom. It will also add color to my room that will make it inviting for all kindergarten learners. The carpet will provide a friendly space where my whole class or small groups can sit communicate or enjoy story time, as well. The easel will provide opportunities for small group instruction. With this teaching tool, I will be able to interact with learners and provide the direct instruction based on their specific needs. The easel is also an excellent tool to display expectations and directions.
