My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, I know my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

This is the first year the students at my school have music class, so I am trying my best to make it a great experience for them.

I want music class to be the best part of my students' days!

My Project

My students need a keyboard for the classroom. I have a piano in the room but it is horribly out of tune, with various broken keys. I would love to have a keyboard to use for music class but also be able to transport it downstairs to the auditorium stage for concerts and performances.

Music is new in our school this year so we are working extremely hard to build our program!

Having a keyboard to use in my general music class will be amazing! The possibilities are endless! My students deserve quality instruments. I can't wait to be able to accompany my students at our concerts, or even have the students play the keyboard!
