My Students

I am a special education teacher. I work with students who are in kindergarten through second grade. I work with students who have special academic, social-emotional and behavioral needs.

Students who receive special education services often can struggle with their ability to stay on task and to complete grade level curriculum work without accommodations and modifications.

They may struggle with understanding acceptable responses to frustration. They also may have physical needs that impact their ability to respond in the same manner as their classmates.

My Project

With remote learning become more and more a thing, I would like to get my classroom a new iPad. I currently have one iPad in my classroom for a class of 23 students. The iPad is old and will not download new apps which include Zoom. I am looking at more online resources for my students to be able to access while they are learning face-to-face as well as remotely.

All of my students could benefit from an up-to-date iPad.

I would be able to show students how to use online resources and then give them the ability to access them online from home.
