Hi! Welcome to my donors choose. I am a 1st grade teacher in the KC Public Schools. This is my fifth year teaching at this school. This year I have 21 students in my classroom. My kids are the most fun and I am so lucky I get to be their teacher.
My students love their technology!
Every student in my classroom has an iPad assigned to them that stays at school. We use them many times a day for online reading and math programs, academic games, read alouds and research. The students also love to have free time on their iPads during indoor recess. This is the first year we have had iPads in our classroom. Unfortunately, the old headphones we used for the laptops do not work with the iPads. We have made due so far this year with sharing a few headphones I have purchased and listening to our iPads with our sound down. That just isn't an ideal situation so I have turned to you all! Thank you for your support and giving my students something they need to help them better use the materials in our classroom.
With your donation each student will receive a brand pair of headphones to use while working on their iPads in the classroom. We use the iPads for reading/math programs, testing, academic games, reading and research.
Each student having their own headphones makes for a quiet learning environment and gives students the opportunity to focus only on their program.
Many times throughout the day when students are working on their iPads, I, as the teacher, am pulling small groups to give more focused teaching. With new headphones their will be less distractions during that time! This will create a focused learning environment.
