This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, I’m making a special transition—from teaching 3rd grade to 6th grade! Even more exciting, I’ll be teaching some of the very same students I had just a few years ago. It’s a rare and rewarding opportunity to continue supporting their growth as they prepare to leave elementary school and head into middle school.

Sixth grade brings new challenges and new responsibilities.

To help my students succeed, I’m requesting engaging books to match their growing reading skills and interests, essential school supplies to help them stay organized and focused, and rolling carts to keep our classroom materials mobile and accessible. These resources will help create a well-equipped, functional learning environment where students can take charge of their learning and feel proud of their progress.

Our Title I school serves a vibrant community, but many families face economic hardships. With your support, we can ensure these students have the tools they need to finish elementary school strong and confident.
