Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an educator, my goal is to create a classroom environment that is engaging, organized, and supportive of all learning styles. I am teaching a new grade level and two new subjects, which means I am starting from scratch in many ways. To give my students the best experience possible, I am requesting a variety of basic but essential supplies.
Pens and Markers are the backbone of student participation.
Whether it’s taking notes, completing assignments, or expressing creativity during interactive lessons, students need access to reliable writing tools. Markers, especially, are essential for group work, anchor charts, and visual displays that keep our lessons vibrant and memorable.
An iPad stylus will allow me to model work digitally and interact with educational apps in a more efficient way.
Social Studies and ELA posters are important visual tools that help students retain key concepts. These posters serve as constant reminders of vocabulary, frameworks, and strategies that support reading comprehension, historical thinking, and critical analysis.
Magnetic pen holders will help keep our whiteboard area neat and accessible. When supplies have a clear place, time isn’t wasted looking for lost markers, and students learn the value of staying organized—an important life skill.
A rolling paper holder will streamline how I store and use anchor chart paper. Instead of shuffling through cluttered corners to find materials, I can pull what I need quickly.
Classroom games and puzzles are more than just fun—they help build community, critical thinking, and social-emotional skills. During early finish time or indoor recess, these tools encourage collaboration and communication in ways that are developmentally appropriate and engaging.
Each of these items supports a smoother, more creative, and more effective learning environment. With your support, I can give my students not only the materials they need but the classroom they deserve.
