Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a large elementary school in North Central California.

My students come to school with very little but are willing to give everything they have to learn.

They always come to school excited about what they will see and learn. I want to make reading fun for them. I want to instill in them a lifelong desire to read for both enjoyment and education. I want my students to have access to as many books as possible. I also want to give them an area to read at in my classroom. In the upcoming year, I will be transitioning from 5th to 2nd grade. I am very excited to see how the 2nd-grade mind works.

My Project

I am respectfully requesting these readers for my class. I am moving to a lower grade level and my current library, which has been built up over many years, is not at my new students' reading levels.

I would like my students to spend time with Amelia Bedelia and learn how she makes it through her adventures.

I want my students to read daily and I need books that are high interest and at the appropriate reading level.

So again I respectfully request a donation to help curb the cost. These books will not only help out in the new school year, but for many many years to come.
