My Project

In this project, I am asking for some new items to organize the classroom and create more of a positive learning environment for my kiddos. I have asked for some new buckets and bins to make items accessible for community use. This includes our scissors, crayons, glue sticks, and etc. Every year I find something else that would benefit our classroom. Being a Title I school, about 80% of our students live in poverty, and they depend on school as a safe place.

I want to make my classroom the most inviting learning environment I can for each and every student who walks through my door.

In asking for new items I hope to complete my classroom a little bit more for my students. This includes some new dividers to use when testing (I encourage them to show me what their brains know, as opposed to the student next to them), some new center items for them to use as they are learning and growing, and a new carpet for the morning meeting. I believe that getting a new carpet where students sit side by side, will result in creating a positive classroom climate where we work together as a team, rather than as individuals. I strive to do the best I can for all of my students, every year.
