This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a classroom of 24 third graders. They love to read!! Especially in two languages. They can read, write, and speak in English and in Spanish. They are all from low income families and they all receive free lunch. They have a desire to learn and achieve their very best everyday. We work really hard in attendance because we all know the importance of being in school everyday. My students also love to express their critical thinking skills by questioning each other and commenting their responses. They are also very creative and they make me laugh with their jokes.

My Project

My project will be used to support my students in continuing learning in coding, reading, and math.

My students need tablets to work in small groups in their skills they need more support; for example math, reading, and coding.

The tables don't have much space like a desktop computer. Which means they can move in a comfortable setting to practice their skills. My students will use the tablets to learn more on coding in Code.org, math in ST Math, and reading in Reading Plus. Students will have a center to continue learning their skills that they need to succeed in school, life, and eventually in work.
