Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Classroom furniture is important because it can create a comfortable, safe, and productive learning environment. It can also help students feel more engaged, collaborate, and interact with each other. Supportive furniture helps with engagement, collaboration and comfort while learning and teaching during the entire school day. Classroom furniture can help facilitate appropriate social interactions among students, which can decrease the likelihood of inappropriate behavior. We are in need of a new couch for our library area, supportive adult chairs, new trampolines for both indoors and outdoor movement activities and a mobile book shelf for small group supplies.

We are also in need of a fan for our classroom to keep cool/warm.

This will also help to support clean air in the entire class and promote healthy learning while keeping the kids healthy. Our classroom also needs some adaptive calendars, supportive creative toys for our kitchen area and magnetic stands for our mini ipads. Having materials in preschool means providing a variety of items like all areas within a preschool classroom that children can use to explore, learn, and play with, supporting their development across different areas like cognitive, motor, social, and creative skills.
