New Frontier Falcon Volleyball Team Succeeds with New Equipment

Help me give my students a great start for a new varsity volleyball team by giving kneepads, volleyballs, water bottles, coaching board, and pregame/prepractice snacks.

My Project

Our school in urban core Kansas City is seeking to kick off a successful varsity volleyball season focused on skill building, team building, and character building. The team is filled with young ladies who are enthusiastic about beginning something new. The ladies are just beginning this adventure and we are seeking to help them feel valued and important as they begin to represent our school in a new way. The school ordered new uniforms for the ladies, but most of the team is unable to provide their own knee pads. Having individual knee pads will allow the girls to remain safe and feel confident at they learn to dig the volleyball during practices and at games. The school has provided six volleyballs that will be shared with the physical education classes. We are hoping to get the team their own volleyballs that will be used exclusively at volleyball practice. The water bottles will allow the girls to stay hydrated at practices and games. The snacks will give them energy so they can put forth maximum effort and work hard towards becoming their own best. The team is working on learning all about the game of volleyball, so the coaching board will help instruct the girls about the rules and expectations of play.

The young ladies on this team are from a variety of minority backgrounds and have little to no exposure to team sports.

They are motivated and excited and have begun to set personal goals and team goals where every minor success is celebrated and every team player is valued.

The requested items will support these young ladies in achieving their goals.
