Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have joined the Dual Language Team at BES as the 2nd-grade teacher of the inaugural class! This is what makes my students so special, they are setting the standard for future 2nd-grade DL classes at our school.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
In our school, 82.7% of the students receive free or reduced-priced meals. The presentation cart, printer, and speakers offer enriched learning. Through the cart, teachers display global cultural festivals, nurturing cross-cultural appreciation, and language skills. The printer aids collaborative projects, letting students create visual materials about festivals, and enhancing language and creative abilities. Speakers provide authentic audio exposure, refining listening skills and exposing students to diverse accents.
These resources cultivate cultural awareness, bolster language proficiency, and spark creativity. The presentation cart visually engages students with global traditions, while the printer fosters collaborative learning through creative projects. The speakers immerse students in authentic language contexts, refining their auditory and pronunciation skills. Together, these tools empower students to embrace diversity, excel linguistically, and develop technological and creative aptitude.
