New Dryer for Clean Uniforms and Bedding!

Help me give my students a new Dryer so we can continue to wash/dry their uniforms and bedding for school!

My Students

Our students are Pre-K/EC and their ages range from 3-5 years. Our class is blended with children with different types of disabilities (Autism, developmental delays, fine and gross motor delays, speech delays, and other disorders). All of the students have some type of language and communication deficits.

The school is a Title I school with 100% of the students receiving a free and reduced-prince lunch.

Most of the parents are single parents which leaves little money to help with materials needed in the classroom.

My Project

The new Dryer I’m requesting is for our young Pre-K students (5 classes) and also for the whole school.

The dryer we have now is not working.

It takes all day to dry a class set of bedding. The Pre-K teachers wash and dry the students’ bedding at school to make sure they are clean.

We also wash uniforms often for our students. Most of our Pre-K students are not potty trained and they often need their clothes washed and dried after mishaps. Many of our families are single parents that are working hard to provide for their children. There are times when we need to wash/dry uniforms from our Clothing Closet (used by the whole school) for students in need of clean clothes.

This is why a new Dryer will really help our students by meeting their clothing needs. When the students have their basic needs met in school it allows the teachers to focus on their education. Having a new dryer that works will be a major resource that is needed for our students.
