New Document Camera for Teaching Writing

My Project

The biggest struggle as an English teacher is teaching students to write. My students are bright and hardworking, but writing is tough even for them! Having a document camera will change our writing lives.

This document camera will allow for whole class discussion of writing pieces in real time.

Rather than having to stop and copy pieces of students writing on the board to discuss, or even worse, wait until the next day when copies have been made, we can view one another's writing immediately. This will allow for more timely instruction and effective feedback to each and every student, thus helping them improve their writing skills and allowing me to use class time more efficiently!

I will also use this document camera to help students see text annotation as it's happening. In my classes, this will be vital to their success and understanding.
