My Students
My students are special because they are all so eager to share life tidbits. Eager to listen to me read to them, eager to learn how to use the card catalog to find books, and eager to help a fellow student find a book when they have learned how. All for one and one for all seems to be their underlying belief.
I see all students, Kindergarten through 4th grade each week.
It gives me great pleasure to help students find books they want to read!
My Project
These colorful chairs will complement the colorful tables that are being provided by a previous Donor's Choose grant!
All of my students deserve a colorful, inviting library to encourage exploration of book shelves, decompress from their regular classroom and escape into a world where they can cultivate peer relationships.
My library was built in the 1980's and has not been updated. It is very tan/brown (the world's ugliest color!). Adding brightly colored tables and chairs will affect student's learning by increasing their attention levels and improve their moods.
I consider myself very blessed to have the opportunity to make a difference in my student's lives.
