My Students

Organization is the key to success! The biggest challenge most children face is how to be organized and how to do it well. I want to instill this in my second graders so that by the time they leave our classroom they will have a successful skill set that will aid in their academic success.

I have 26 amazing little Second Graders that I can't wait to get to know.

Our classroom is located in Chicago, IL and our backgrounds are as diverse as can be! This is my first time teaching at this school and I am very excited to get to know each and every one of my students. I am writing this grant so I can provide them with classroom resources that will make our classroom feel warm and inviting, therefore instilling a love for learning. I want them to enter our classroom and take price in our community. Helping my students become super organized will help them be successful in their future...

My Project

I have selected a classroom set of chair seat sacks. The purpose of the seat sack is to aid in organization and the preservation of our library books. So often my students place everything in their desks that many items become misplaced or damaged. I want to use the seat sacks as a library book storage place, as well the storing of important materials. I believe that when children are organized it aids in academic success and cuts down on loss of instructional time. If they have easy access to all materials we are able to keep the learning going. Not only will this help with organization, it will add a warm and inviting feel to our classroom!

Donations to this particular grant will assist me with the new makeover I would like for my brand new classroom.

Not only will it help add that fresh look I am looking for, but it will make the students feel more welcome and assist them with the organization that is crucial to a successful learning environment. I have used seat sacks in the past and they have been nothing but successful with my students!
