My Project
A large whole class meeting rug is so very important in an elementary 4th grade classroom. You wouldn't think a rug is what students enjoy... but it really is! We meet every morning in a large circle to discuss the schedule of the day, greet everyone, do a little mindful activity and just start the day on a positive note. In my classroom, students read independently, with partners and in reading book clubs... and where do they do this? On a rug! So this rug would add much needed comfort and space for student learning. My current rug has seen better days. To have a brand new rug for the start of the year would be a wonderful addition to the new year.
