This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In this project, I am requesting new classroom headsets for my students to use in the new school year. I would like for each of my students to have their own pair to use for independent learning. At the end of last year, my students had no choice but to share headphones in between classes because some stopped working.
New wired headphones for each student will make a difference in their learning.
They will be able to independently explore new books, watch educational videos, complete online classwork, and also listen to audio books. Most importantly, they will be able to utilize text being read aloud (text to speech) feature in their work. They will not have to worry about becoming distracted by someone else's computer.
I am also requesting a pack of noise cancelling headphones for my students who are especially sensitive to noise. These would be used during fire drills and for sensory breaks when needed.
Finally, I would also need an over-the-door organizer for my students to place their headphone when done using them. This would help me keep my classroom neat and organized. As well as individual disinfecting wipes to clean after use if needed.
