My students are special needs students and we opened up a new classroom at a school that did not previously have a special education program. We are needing to get things for the classroom that are more conducive to my students needs.
My students struggle with some of the basic things that a general education classroom has such as typical classroom chairs, so I chose some more flexible seating for my students such as the stools.
My students also LOVE positive re-enforcements and toys such as the little eraser puzzle animals and the stickers that I have listed. I have no cubbies in our classroom for the kids to store their papers so I have included the paper keeper as well as the storage bins due to the lack of storage that our classroom has. We also have students who need sensory breaks so I included things such as the lights and tiles to put in the sensory area for them.
We have students who can not read but love to listen to books and music. I have some old tape players but only a few so I have added the headphone splitters so that they can listen to books on tape as well as music. Anything donated to our class will be so greatly appreciated and well used by my students.
