This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project includes a new classroom carpet that matches the theme of our classroom, Wilderness Explorers. In our classroom, we our current carpet is used throughout the entire day. The carpet allows the the students to get out of their desk throughout the day. As busy second graders, this is a great movement break.

We would sit on the carpet for morning meeting, read alouds, reviews, and whole group lessons.

Currently, our classroom carpet does not fit everyone on it and has been well loved over the past three years so it is time for an upgrade.
