Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our classroom is finally moving! After 10+ years, our middle and high school resource room will be moving into a much larger room to facilitate the needs of our students. It has been a journey to find the right location for our classroom and the wait is finally over.
Our goal for this project is to assist in creating a fun, relaxed, and safe environment for our students with various learning disabilities.
With the items in our project, we will be able to give our students flexible seating, tranquil lighting, activities to assist with mental health and calming strategies, and much more. Being able to arrange our new classroom with the items that make our students comfortable is always a priority as our classroom should be their safe haven.
Our students deal with a lot of stereotypical criticism, and it can be hard going through middle and high school, along with the general stress and drama that already comes with it. Having a place where they can forget about the stress and anxiety of the day is so important for their emotional and mental well-being, that creating the right environment for them is a priority of mine. Please help me in making this a reality for my students!
