This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As my 4th year of teaching comes to an end I find myself reflecting on the school year. I think about how I can update and change some of the management procedures for my upcoming class. I want to focus on supplies that will help a student be comfortable and thrive in the classroom, regardless if they brought in supplies from home. Which is why I am requesting name tags and anchor charts for the walls with important information they will need throughout the year. I am also requesting pencils, a classroom sharpener, copy paper, hall passes and a bathroom log.
Whether it's signing out in the bathroom log or reading the anchor charts around the room, these supplies will help foster a more independent class.
Research shows that with the best academic tools, schools can promote student engagement, financial skills, and productive student-teacher relationships. With your help, I look forward to showing my students how invested we are in their education.
