My Project

I have been a classroom teacher for 14 years. I teach in a small Title I school in Middle TN. The students I serve come from predominantly low income households. We provide free lunch and breakfast daily. I have spent most of my tenure as a teacher in upper elementary grades 3 and 4. However, I am starting a new adventure next year in the first grade. I will be moving classrooms and am in need of new chairs for my future students. Being a Title I school, the budget is always a concern when asking for a large ticket item. I hope to alleviate some of that burden by acquiring new chairs through Donors Choose.

Please help me give my sweet first graders some new chairs to start off their new school year.

I am requesting a class set of chairs and some tennis balls to go on the bottoms so that students will be able to move them easily and help to minimize scratches to our floors.
