My students need new carpets in our classroom to play on. We don't currently have a carpet for our reading center, and we love to sit on the floor and read books.

My Students
Our classroom is a pre-k class for children with special needs and typically developing children in an inner city school district. We have a full day class that is in session Monday through Friday.
Half of my students are 3 - 4 years old with a variety of disabilities.
The other half are typically developing students that will transition to kindergarten for the next school year.
They love to build with blocks, work on floor puzzles, read books, explore art materials and interact with a variety of other materials. Many of my students have very limited language skills and social interaction skills.
My students all receive free breakfast and lunch and many receive food bags donated by a local church to take home each week for the weekends.
My Project
We are asking for 2 new carpets for our Pre-K class. Our book center doesn't have a carpet to sit on, so we read books on the floor. Our dramatic play area doesn't have a carpet and many times, we have pretend picnics on the floor in our dramatic play area.
We would love to be able to allow our students to have something new to sit on in the book and dramatic play areas!
Our students (and staff) spend so much time on the floor in our room it would be great to have something nice and comfy to sit on in our classroom!
More than half of students from low‑income households
