My Students

Have you ever sat in an 8-hour class or presentation only to find yourself wiggly from sitting too long? My students work really well on the carpet in class, and it helps them focus when they need space. The rugs at our school are old, and we can only fit 10 students on the carpet at a time. I am asking for a bigger rug so that they can all be together.

Most of my students on on free and reduced-price lunch, and school is their place to come and relax in a clean environment.

I am asking for donations for students to have a comfy rug that will help them to be successful at school.

My Project

We have a small carpet in our classroom but we cannot all fit on it together. Trying to build a community is hard without a community feel. A new carpet will provide space for students to move around and work in different areas.

Most of my students love school and need the feeling of a safe comfortable environment.

They love lying down and reading. Most have made comments suggesting that they don't want to go home and that they enjoy staying at school. I know my students are learning to love reading, and I think a new area would help them out.
