My students need a new carpet in our library to help them collaborate, discuss, and learn.

My Students

Our Library Media Center is a large and amazing space with lots of potential.

In order to give our students the best learning opportunities possible, we need to upgrade our 21 year old library to a 21st century learning space with areas for collaboration, exploration, and learning.

As a school of over 700 students with diverse socioeconomic needs, learners of varying abilities, and ELL learners, we are in need of resources to meet all of our student's unique learnign styles.

My Project

We recently rearranged our library to allow for more areas for instruction and collaboration and as a result, we now have two large teaching areas. A new carpet would allow for organized seating in both areas as opposed to just one.

The new carpet would serve as a seating area, collaboration area, and above all, a place for ideas and learning to grow.

As a result of the new carpet students would be able to transition to lessons and participate in discussions quickly and with minimal disruption to class time. In addition, the chosen carpet is a great tool for coding activities as it can serve as a game board or maze to be used with people and robots.
